Nothing is lost. Every scan is saved at once; close the page and carry on later, or count with several people at the same time.
Cycle or full counts. A cycle count changes only what you counted; a full count sets uncounted items to 0, and you see the list before anything changes.
Sales during the count are kept. Stockcount remembers stock at the moment each item was scanned, so orders placed while you count are not overwritten.
