Stocktake by phone for Shopify, no POS Pro needed

Count your stock with the camera in the Shopify mobile app, a USB or Bluetooth scanner, or by typing. See which items don't match and what the difference is worth at cost, preview every change before it hits Shopify, then apply it and keep the count as a CSV. Every plan covers all your locations.

Have POS Pro, or count one location at a desk? Shopify's own Stock counts are free with your plan and have manager review: start there. Countwell is for counting on a phone without POS Pro, full counts that show what will be set to 0, and a record you can export (Shopify's help: "you can't export your stock counts"). Compare the options.

Not in the Shopify App Store yet

Countwell is in testing and will be submitted to the Shopify App Store soon. Leave your email and we will write once when you can install it. Plans will start with a free tier; paid plans are expected at $9 and $19 a month.

Nothing you scan is lost. Every scan is saved the moment you make it: a dead battery, a closed tab or a refresh does not make you start over. Several people can count at the same time.
Scan barcodes or SKUs, one after another. Each scan adds one, with no confirm step between scans. Type a SKU for items without a barcode.
Nothing goes to 0 by surprise. A cycle count is the default and changes only what you counted. A full count sets uncounted items to 0, and before anything changes you see that list, marked "not counted", apart from items you counted as 0. Draft and archived products are never zeroed.
Say why it was off. Pick a cause (damage, transfer not received, picking error, theft, unknown) and add a note on any item that does not match. They stay in the count and its CSV export.
Sales during the count are kept. Countwell remembers stock at the moment each item was scanned, so orders placed while you count are not overwritten.
No customer or order data. Countwell asks only for products, inventory and locations.
